You really need to read some actual philosophy Bill as what you're trying to say has been discussed better back in the 17th and 18th century, i,e, try reading the British Empiricists for starters.Bill Wiltrack wrote:Yes, completely. EVERYTHING is sensory input. What we need to do is to stop projecting and observe all the sensory stimulus around us.
You also need to improve your logical thinking skills, e.g. "EVERYTHING is sensory input" and "What we need to do is to stop projecting" appear to be contradictory thoughts, i.e. what can we be projecting if everything is sensory input?
You really need to be clearer about what you are proposing, give us a technique of how to observe our self doing its observing and where or how do you stop in this infinite regress?Observe our self in the environment that we find ourselves in AT THIS VERY MOMENT.
p.s.
If people really wish to try such things then NLP offers a few useful and simple techniques to experience what they call 'uptime' or for a different take 'stopping the world'.
Uptime
One of many ways to stop the world
