Moral Philosophers versus sex crime

Post by Kuznetzova »

You can watch "philosophers" on the internet spend 2 hours building up amongst themselves the solid conclusion that morality is totally arbitrary and essentially subjective. You can watch them elaborate at length about how there is simply no evidence for Objective Morality. Watch them as they post dozens of forum replies which reinforce and defend these propositions. Watch them as they spend 45 minutes to an hour rabidly defending the thesis that Moral Relativism is the only sensible conclusion.

After this intellectual showcase of philosophical acumen, a person amongst them can breach the topic of Child Prostitution.

Instantly, all their previous conclusions are thrown out the window. Massive self-contradiction ensues right before your eyes. Suddenly, as if by magic, the philosophers transmorgify into White Knight Hero Protectors of all children of the World. Watch these "philosophers", (who had previously spoken of the absence of all objective morality,) wax righteously on "zero tolerance policies". Watch as they lose all sense of rationality and graciousness. Their hitherto-operating responsibility to defend their positions evaporates into thin air. Mind control and censoring ensues, maybe even a couple personal threats are made. The very same people could elaborate and contrast Hume's hedonism versus G.E. Moores Principia Ethica. The very same people revert to "It's wrong because I said so".

Sometimes it is quite entertaining to watch.
