Happy pig
Happy pig
Would you rather be a happy pig or an unhappy person? It depends on my purpose in life. If my purpose in life is to be happy, then i'd rather be a happy pig. However, if my purpose is virtue, then I rather be an unhappy good person that a happy pig. What about you?

What a ridiculous comment. You clearly don't have a clue what 'anthropomorphism' is.Impenitent wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 4:18 pm to claim that non humans have human emotions is a fallacy

Re: Happy pig
Anthropomorphism doesn't claim that other animals don't share the same emotions as human animals. What is your claim? That other animals are mindless automatons? Humans are mammals. The emotions we evolved in order to survive don't apply only to us. Why would anyone be stupid enough to believe that? Only an imbecile would think otherwise. I suppose you also believe that other animals don't feel pain.Impenitent wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 10:54 pmguess not.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 8:37 pmWhat a ridiculous comment. Re: Happy pig
I asked my kitty if she feels pain. She said she didn't. It was just an act to make human beings feel sorry for her and be her slaves.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:33 pm Only an imbecile would think otherwise. I suppose you also believe that other animals don't feel pain.
Which animal have you asked?

I haven't 'asked' any. Just as I don't 'ask' other human animals whether or not they can feel pain.RCSaunders wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 1:03 amI asked my kitty if she feels pain. She said she didn't. Re: Happy pig
So maybe a pig cannot be happy. Good point. What if I change my question. Would you rather be a happy bad person or an unhappy good person?

I suppose you think all human beings feel pain, but it's not true.vegetariantaxidermy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 21, 2021 1:34 amI haven't 'asked' any. Since you cannot even know if other human beings feel pain, you certainly cannot know the animals do.Congenital insensitivity to pain and anhydrosis (CIPA) is a rare hereditary disease that causes affected individuals to be unable to feel pain and unable to sweat (anhydrosis). It is also called hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy type IV (HSAN IV).
