Vegtarian posses a dilemma for fellow vegetarians

This is a thought experiment that provides a dilemma for those like me you don't eat meat on ethical grounds.

The initial conditions are thus

1. you are stranded, with no hope of rescue or escape
2. there are others depending on you remaining alive for their survival, though they may soon be in a position to fend for themselves

Your only means of survival is to eat either

1. A still born baby
2. A freshly killed wild animal

I don't believe so, at least, I conceived it not as such but rather as a thought experiment

I may need more food soon but those who depend upon me will soon be in a postion to look after themselves. That the potential meal is subject to predation is not relievant, as a vegetarian I do not attempt to prevent predation

I had considered that but by introducing the need to stay alive to help others made the question examine the reasons for the person being a vegetarian.

Those vegetarian for ethical reasons should, I maintain, opt to eat the still born baby those who are vegetarian for other reasons may choose to kill and animal

If we manage to provide burgers without meat that taste better and make the eater feel better than after eating a burger with meat then we will progress towards vegetarianism.

I am a nearly vegetarian without doing any sacrifices. There are just too many things I sincerely prefer to meat.
At the moment I am warming up with hot water drinks and oats with dried figs, which sit in hot water for about an hour. The second bowl will be ready in about half an hour.

What puts me off eating sausages and processed meat in general is that you never know for sure which animal was processed exactly (horse or cat or rat or worse) and which parts of the animal and what apart from the animal.
You just cannot recognize anything, the mixture is well done and looks rosy due to chemicals.
