One cannot have a right without having the capacity to exercise that right. The right to do anything you please <without harming others> is literally not a right for people who cannot or do not demonstrate their capacity to make good decisions in that regard.

I don't believe voting is a good idea in the democratic sense, because it treats the voice of someone who knows something equally with the ignorant, and that's bad. But i do believe in voting in an advisory capacity, because the appropriate leaders, which is a different question, still need to know what the people want. To be more specific, each sentient person should be given 100 votes per issue and can vote or delegate them at will, in whatever way they feel best represents their interests, without duress.
