There are and I've invested in one of them but they don't and can't do what a central exchange does.

'Hack-a-thons' are exactly a source of bad code as they are prototyping sessions and it's post-testing you need and this will only be done by big corporations who can invest the time and money involved.

Its blockchain technology that is in the early stages, cryptotokens are just a part of the technology but you are dreaming if you think these things are going to go anyway other than the interweeb did. It's all just fantasies of the disabused 'left' that such things will usher in some kind of 'utopia'.
