Israel likes does not like force feeding

I really thought someone was having a joke today when I read these two News Items.
The first said that Israel had taken on the authority, against the opinion of its own medical profession, and Amnesty International, to allow the Forced Feeding of Prisoners.
The Second was a News item about the fact that Fois Gras is going to be banned as it involves the forced feeding of geese.

The juxtaposition is bizarre. Obviously the rights of a Goose are more important than that of some humans.
