We currently live in a neo-liberal system where money is moved upwards into the hands of those in power. Democracy and ideas of the social, a government for people by people (if it ever existed) has ended, and exists in name only. We live in a democratic bubble which exists only as a simulation. Outside the simulation is the raw and brutal workings of a new system in waiting, though it has begun to seep into the bubble. At some point the bubble will burst. And a corporatocracy will be embraced. Though this is probably an old idea as the film, Network (1976), was talking like this back then.

If anyone asks what ideology are we under, the person says neo-liberal. The system attacks the weak as dead wood and attempts to create a populace of entrepeneurs. This is one idea. The attempt is to lift society to meet the challenge of the authoritarian capitalism of China, by becoming the same. This is another idea. What's yours?

Fact is that you did not self-generate this theory of neo-liberalism: you borrowed it from the media yourself.
The media is not a monolith, but a realm of discussion and debate - especially outside the mainstream.

You are delusioned, the whole media is corrupted and the knowing where to look is bullshit, the idea is to destroy the mainstream in the minds of those that are hooked. But it is not easy. They offer everything pre-framed. Creating legitimacy is the most important thing. The mainstream needs to be confronted because it holds so many in its gaze. This is why politics has been seconded by it. And why politicians must have a good relationship with newspaper owners.
