Free Press and Bipolar Minds

Free Press and Bipolar Minds
Bipolar thinking is responsible for the way we speak of a Free Press as opposed to Government controlled.
In fact what the Press appears to be in favour of is what they consider self-regulation under IPSO.
Whatever was and will be done, the Government is there in the background and either approves tacitly or regulates more or less directly. But there are essentially three ways to resolve the situation according to the form of society we have.
There can be government control, with its censor, and suppression of opposing political opinion.
The Press can be there to report any opinion in an entirely unbiased way, with no verification of truth or verity.
And finally the Press may be self-regulated, in an unlikely ideal world, or pragmatically regulated by an organisation like IPSO that represents Society rather than the Government, for accurate investigation and reporting.
The first two alternatives are the easiest, and therefore the most likely to succeed.
The question of Free Speech is associated with it. The third way for this is Free Discussion, as against unfettered speech, in order to elicit the truth and public benefit.

there is also the people require the press to have integrity

the US of A is basically a financial enterprise, and if there isn't any money in it, then there is no investment in it. could be some product to produce or truth in reporting. therefore if the people the press was reporting to was interested in the truth, then eventually the press would produce what the people will pay for. if advertisers don't pay for add time because the people don't turn on the news, then they will do what's necessary to get add moneys by giving what people will watch, therefore you see what the people watch, and the press make sure they are giving the people what they want. it's their business to know.

This reporter sounds enthusiastic, in his quest for truth.
He sounds like the famous barking dog solo.
