I first heard him with this, which is still a favorite. The violin soloist in this recording, the one that I first heard, is a prodigy. The end is a subtle leading into stillness.

Poetic music, no lyrics.

ooo, nice and purdy, thanks for sharing!

it is nice but does not "Call to me" like Fantasia - which seem more "brooding" "big" in sound.

since you offered a "peaceful" work, i must do the same and offer a "happy" work from one of my fav "new age" bands, Nightnoise.

first track esp. "silky flanks" i think is the name of first track - all their works are exellent, so hear them out if you have not before:

oh and of course - full respect to the creators of that old PC game Homeworld 20 yrs ago (and the two sequels too).

paul rusky - won and award in 99 for this soundtrack to the PC game: he Taranic Raiders song was included in a cut in first season of Portlandia - lol.

great "new-age/arabic/east indian" fusion GOG (good old games (used to be a free link, gone now for while sadly) offers his soundtrack for $ if interested).

he did the soundtrack of homeworld 2 and collaborated with another guy for homeworld cataclysm.

all excellent PC games - they stopped making smart pc games 2 decades ago sadly.

best playthrough of original game - with full graphics (still looks good for 2 decade old game - have to do a few things to make it work in windows 7/8/10 though).

"The Keeper is aware. The Keeper understands. The Keeper has seen the enemy." lol, that is from the sequel.

Holy crap - that was really f'in good!! It pretty much summed up what I was quizzing about that long journal entry of yours!

I got one in a similar vain called 'Twork' - a lot shorter and nowhere near as good as that one. :)

I read it before you posted the above; indeed, it's similar.
Happy to have found a fan in you, attofishpi.
No idea what your name means, by the way.

Though many attempt rhyme very few succeed. On this site, I didn't think anybody could. I was obviously wrong!

To create a good rhyme,
You will need some time,
'Coz if you don't succeed,
It ain't worth a dime.

Oh WOW - late to the party/reply. - just read your your poem.

beautiful in a s sad way, I'm into rhyme, and your work is sublime - did you catch that? - lol ;-).

no, seriously, you got talent! i think Lord Byron would concur. yes i think you are on that level if i may say so as a pleab that knows nothing about poetry nor much of a reader of it (esp the modern stuff).

I esp like verse 13 - laughed out loud over that part, and verse 19 and the last vers 20 was fabuous in it bleak truth/and the rhyme to send the message home ;-/.

--------gotta go cry in the corner now ;-(.

------------

your poem is that good IMO - do you have more work? curious.

BTW thanks for sharing!

1. Take One

My gramma like to smuff
She says it ain't enough
To dive into her muff
You must also rake the rough
To borrow terms from golf
To make her huff and puff
And moan as she gets off
Her rocks.

2. Take Two

My gramma like to smuff.
My English words also snuff
Out the language, fierce and tough
Hence my name is Gaff
O.
