Thanks! :D
I have a complaint against Spectacle Society (not poetry even though the category says otherwise, system's messed up because of Eclipse).

And I have a journal with quotes about the Sun and the Stars (also not poetry).

The world's richest 1% get 82% of the wealth, according to Oxfam. The NGO has produced similar reports for the past five years. In 2017 it calculated that the world's eight richest individuals had as much wealth as the poorest half of the world.

lol,

true enough,

and that would be a crime,

my grandma like to smuff........

had enough?

;-/.
1. Take One

My gramma like to smuff
She says it ain't enough
To dive into her muff
You must also rake the rough
To borrow terms from golf
To make her huff and puff
And moan as she gets off
Her rocks.

2. Take Two

My gramma like to smuff.
My English words also snuff
Out the language, fierce and tough
Hence my name is Gaff
O.
"snuff" my bad - even a Dyslexic knows an "m" is not an "n' - but as you know, they sit next to each other on a none-dvorak, so i did not notice my misstype.

my bad.

not so keen on the imagry of granny getting off either, though i assume they do, have no wish to read about it Sir.

yes, i know (in otherwords "trickle down" is not reality (nor is the bullshit of "it i work my ass off i'll become an billionaire too).

US Standard of living has FALLEN since 1973!!!!!!!!!!!! - that was a long time ago!

since that time we had the 60-percent middle class shrink to 40?/35? - 9.6 out of 10 have gone from middle class to "underclass" lower class. .4? or so - so what? 4 out of 1000? moved up to upperclass. great! - not a an asshat, but what about the rest that moved out of the middle class to the lower class?

- silence - about them. instead just the usual american dream "you can succeed if you work hard"

1. yes, sometimes, more times 50 yrs ago than today (those that recite that mantra ignore this fact!) i.e. there is something wrong here since 73, and neither political parties are seeing (or more aptly see it but use diversion tactics because they have no answer (I don't either BTW) - Republicans just say "work harder" and you will make it. Dems just say "fixate on LGBTQ's and ignore anything else including your nosediving living standards.

2. sadly, i do not think there is a "fix" - for Globalism DOES raise the standards of living of all 3-rd nations (so i affirm Globalism - it does lift Bangalis from literally starving to death to at least allowing them to become one of the underclass, and so enough to eat).

3. Fact is globalism is good globally (and I'm a Humanist - so not tribal, though do think "western ideals" (john Locke/etc is THE WAY) - so in otherwords if Botswana when out of her way to affirm said ideals, and America (I'm an American BTW) turned here back on those ideals, i would renounce my Americanism in spirit and become a Botswanan. I'm a Patriot- not due the land my nation controls, but due to the gov/constitution it affirms (less so lately - when it leaves said Constitution is when i will have to choose the better (the latter - and no longer care about "America and the land she controls" - and move to another nation that affirms the concepts my nation no longer values. of coure i may not be able to - due to imigration laws of said other nation................so there is that too. might be stuck as a "Patriot" who no longer loves America, but is stuck here.

4. hope i don't end up in that senario.

thanks for reply BTW.

BTW 10-percent of Germans lived that nightmare bet 38 and 45 - millions of - not all Germans were thugs/nazis, but most were enablers.

to be fair, 30 percent were.

60 percent were just "oh whatever" - in the middle morally.

10-percent hated Hitler, and most (hey, I'm not self reichtious! (its easy to be 70 yrs later) - me? no, I'd not harbor jews, and keep my head low and not house Jews (being caught = death to them and me). just being honest about myself. nearly all of those 10 percenters were like me.

a few rose above and did house jews understanding the risk. they were example of the best of humanity and honour.

The name of the author is the first to go
followed obediently by the title, the plot,
the heartbreaking conclusion, the entire novel
which suddenly becomes one you have never read,
never even heard of,

as if, one by one, the memories you used to harbor
decided to retire to the southern hemisphere of the brain,
to a little fishing village where there are no phones.

Long ago you kissed the names of the nine Muses goodbye
and watched the quadratic equation pack its bag,
and even now as you memorize the order of the planets,

something else is slipping away, a state flower perhaps,
the address of an uncle, the capital of Paraguay.

Whatever it is you are struggling to remember,
it is not poised on the tip of your tongue,
not even lurking in some obscure corner of your spleen.

It has floated away down a dark mythological river
whose name begins with an L as far as you can recall,
well on your own way to oblivion where you will join those
who have even forgotten how to swim and how to ride a bicycle.

No wonder you rise in the middle of the night
to look up the date of a famous battle in a book on war.
No wonder the moon in the window seems to have drifted
out of a love poem that you used to know by heart.
