Bravo!!! Bus Girl

Fire and Grace

Limbs moan to the winds soft touch,
Leaves whisper as lovers must.

Primal forest young in time,
Evoke passions long denied.

Moon rising, joins the dance,
Stars of worship, a druid’s lust.

Fire burns for the night,
Embers spark, her delight.

Here she lay amongst the fur,
No chains to bind her naked form.

Sparkling jewels upon her skin,
Glistening to the fire’s grin.

Ancient wood consumed in hearth,
Recite a story in smoke and spark.

Smitten by the burning wood,
Of stories old rare and good.

Warm and safe the fires embrace,
Scented cedar, pine, floral laced.

Flames laugh as tendrils rise,
She smiles, behold the flames prize.

Shadow cast upon the wall,
Familiar, but not at all.

Gentle does the shadow fall,
Hurting none, touching all.

Like a moth to her flame,
So the shadow does the same.

Embraced now in dappled light,
Surrender fear to the night.

Single tear sparkling to the floor,
She surrenders to hope and to love once more.

Variation on a theme.

Oak and birch majestic rise
Primeval forests young in time.
Limbs moan to the winds soft touch,
Allow her treasure to fall at last.
Gnarled roots twist and roam
Parting earth and cracking stone.
Dappled light pattern the floor
Leaf and moss carpet all.
Dew drops on fungi caps
Glistening jewels for their hats.
Shadows dance in silent glee
Doe sleeps no need to flee.
Songs of joy caress the land
Faerie realm of elf and Pan.
Search for elf in dell and dale
They will laugh and you will fail.

Hi Aetixintro,
I admire the Samurai in the same way I admire the Knights of 'Old'. But lets not forget that the samurai were essentially bodyguards at best and not loathe to loping ones head off at the whim of their masters. Although I'll give you that, as an individual, the Bouncers experience is one to learn from.

I take it that Knights of the 'Old' are the more religion ranting lot rather than the philosophy in the face of death developed by the samurai. It is the philosophy that is the interest of mine and the reason to post the Hagakure. I agree they, the samurai, are a coarse and crude bunch at times, but there are some who proved elegance at times in the feudal Japan. Btw, the bouncers are not the most known authors.

The Hagakure is only 77 pages or something so it is easily digested.

your post reminded me of a samuri warrior who ended up being slain during the Haag revolution (i apologize if i spelled that incorrectly, it might be Haaj, or haaji), but he was imprisoned & slain for i believe leaving the traditional samurai to fight with the pen rather than the sword, as well as for encouraging the embrace of technological revolution & change that the british ships were bringing to his country. something to that effect anyways, just thought you might like looking more into it, since you are into the samuri,it's an interesting story, & he wrote some cool poetry.... i'll try to post you some more about it if you want. i think his name was Yoshida Yoshun and was a great samuri historical figure during the haaj revolution,etc.

I'm interested! Though, I need a few more hints to get there. I have tried to Wiki both Yoshida Yoshun, but with no result. Thank you for your nice post.

Also, isn't the Socialists of USA a bit too radical? But I have sympathies with some of their cause. On the other hand, I can go for the Centrists. For the moment I opt for the Democrats. My political position is the Conservatives (of Norway).

Or you could take it as those Warriors who put their faith in God and regarded Honour, Duty and Courage as the highest values and proved it in combat.
