Always nice :D

Shame :(
for people who didn't even seem to even care in the end and in return even hurt you
What would you want instead?
and i often wondered what it would feel like if someone would ever do the same for me there are some times i recall
especially 2 that really blew me away and changed me forever, and kept me going it rocked my world and came out of nowhere the feeling that i felt is indescribable i don't know how to describe
Although I'm glad that these sound like positive experiences :) I'm slightly worried b2b, as you said that a 'hero' was someone who'd throw themselves in front of buses for those who don't care, so are you saying you've now've become one of those who've experienced not caring for the 'hero'? But still appreciate how 'heroic' they are?
yes, very nice. the shame part, not necessarily, but sometimes seemed so, but would still do it again.

what would i want instead? its not some desperate want, but, it is rather disappointing when someone you sacrifice yourself for and help turns around and spits in your face and for the life of you, at least at the time, you don't know why. (i'm starting to understand now? maybe?) (but could the 'universe' be more graceful sometimes??????!!???

answering your other question

no i'm not saying that at all. out of pure luck or fate or whatever, i'm not one who would not care and would hopefully never respond the same way as the ones i mentioned above. recently i met such a hero. oh my goodness, i cannot describe. and i would never treat that person horribly, i'd throw flowers at his feet daily actually for what he did.

thanks:)

perhaps morality is like being the one born with the most beautiful hair, the most beautiful face, the most

beautiful personality?

perhaps morality is like being born the one who will walk into a place and capture everyones attention, like a

beauty that creates more pain than its beauty, for all those who are onlooking wishing they were them, and lost the

attention of their 'captors'

I am a simple being
Hiding behind complexity
I am a complex being
Hiding behind simplicity
I am rarely seeing
My self-destructive complicity

I am a foolish being
in 20-20 retrospect
I am a wise being
when pompously I reflect
I am a needy being
needing self-respect

I am freedom fleeting;
Hard to detect.

Good, Psychonaut
That's a quality poem, I think. The last two lines are just the best!
"I am freedom fleeting;
Hard to detect."

Keep up the good work! Cheers! :)

When they accept, I question
When they fit in, I rebel
When they go along, I walk away
When they watch tv, I read
When they know it’s ‘right’, I know it could be ‘wrong’
What to them is simple, I find complex
What they find complex, I find simple
What they take for granted, I feel great value
What they do not feel, I sense with every nerve

Yet…..

When they worry, I find peace
When they feel alone, I feel whole
When they seek acceptance, I accept myself
When they see only dark, I show them they have their own light
What they find absurd, I find hilarious
What they consider nonsense, I consider common sense
When they choose anger, I choose stillness

Who am I? I am the ‘Odd One’

Are they ‘even’ I do not know, for I think we are all odd in our own way.
May we all find our oddness and love our perfect imperfection, for that is what makes us who we are.

Peace

On first read not bad Eliza,
Nice use of 'breathe' and 'confusion' of concepts for me, enjoyable(is the absence of some 'obvious' full stops for deliberate effect?). If I was editor I'd propose ending it at this line, "Who am I? I am the ‘Odd One’ " and add a punctuation. But I'm no 'expert', could you 'turn' the end lines into something like the previous format and still explain the same thought?

Thanks for the feedback. In truth, the poem itself does end on the line as you recommended. That last is just my own added bump. It is a way for one to see,the second section especially, as inspiration or hope.

best wishes

Eliza,
If it needs prose, is it poetry? But I accept that poets can give context, maybe post poem stand-alone then post context? Probably being too pedantic I accept.
