well there is really too much to mention and as i'm new to this forum i figured this might be the easiest way to begin.

Some bands that are great and you can find on myspace or by googling them are:

Chromehoof
Silver Daggers
Liars
(early) Patrick Wolf
(later) Lost Penguin (the social condition / simulacra)
Swans
Lydia Lunch

hope you guys check them out and maybe like them?

Welcome, 295 :-) Maybe it would be easier for us if you posted links to those groups you mentioned. We are kind of lazy

Well. Rock Monkey,  You sure feel inspired today, maybe that's why you posted an entire encyclopedia of songs  I'll check them out later, I don't want to be in a hurry when I listen to the wonderful songs that you usually choose :D

I couldn't tell the difference,either :-p

Incredible songs. (...and you claim that you are not a rock soul :) I knew that our taste in music couldn't be a perfect match regarding some songs and a perfect mismatch regarding others :-D)
Some of them (i.e. the version of stayin' alive )could be the playlist of one party I attend every year: it's called "Kitscherella party", you can understand what this is about by its title

Today I wanted to post Metallica (Enter Sadman) but you beat me to it. So be it, I'll get back at you

I literally love Thunderstruck (even if I listen to it all day- my little brother plays is very often with his electric guitar)

Stupid girls (no, I am nt talking personally to anyone :-p )

I'm really happy that you seem very happy :D :D

ps no comments about "sanitarium". well done, bondi

search "masters of reality", little more of a metal sound, but they're not ear bleeding, they have a very tasteful sound. Also anyone who hasn't heard of "les claypool" needs to go to youtube right now, or anywhere where he/she can look for music and smother themselves in delicious ear candy.
