Any Hendrix live better than this?

Sewing the seeds of love. Tears for Fears

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VAtGOESO7W8

Please do read the lyrics...so poignant.

High time, we made a stand
And shook up the views of the common man
The love train rides from coast to coast
DJ's the man we love the most

Could you be, could you be squeaky clean and smash any hope of democracy
As the headline says you're free to choose
There's egg on your face and mud on your shoes
One of these days they're gonna call it the blues yeah, yeah
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
I spy tears in their eyes they look to the skies
For some kind of divine intervention
Food goes to waste
So nice to eat, so nice to taste

Politician granny with your high ideals
Have you no idea how the majority feels?
So without love and a promised land
We're fools to the rules of a government plan
Kick out the style, bring back the jam, yeah, yeah

Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
The birds and the bees
My girlfriend and me, in love

Feel the pain
Talk about it
If you're a wanted man
Then shout about it
Open hearts, feel about it
Open minds, think about it
Everyone, read about it
Everyone, scream about it
Everyone (everyone, yeah)
Everyone (everyone) read about it, read about it
Read it in the books, in the crannies and the nooks, there are books to read
(Sowing the seeds) Sowing the seeds of love, we're sowing the seeds,
Sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love
Sowing the seeds of love
Mister England sowing the seeds of love
Time to eat all your words
Swallow your pride
Open your eyes

Time to eat all your words
Swallow your pride
Open your eyes

Time to eat all your words (high time we made a stand and shook up the view of the common man)
Swallow your pride (and the love train rides from coast to coast)
Open your eyes (every minute of every hour)
Open your eyes (I love a sunflower)
Open your eyes (and I believe in love power, love power)
Open your eyes (love power)

Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love
Sowing the seeds, an end to need
And the politics of greed

Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love (hand in hand), seeds of love (hand in hand), sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
An end to need
The politics of greed

Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love, seeds of love, sowing the seeds
Sowing the seeds of love

I once read somewhere some facts about the actors that serve as a nice checkpoint with the realities, and some of the fragility, of human nature, compared to the parts they played on the telly. :D (Does anyone actually say telly?)

As I recall, the grandparents were both gay, the parents were both drunks, and there was bunch of other stuff of similar relevance, I think drugs were involved.

*

I also once read somewhere that the TV series was based on the movie, Spencer’s Mountain, and if not then that was at least a precursor to Walton's Mountain.

Spencer's Mountain has no good clips on youtube yet to amuse the simple-minded “rabble”, as some folks consider most Americans, but it is a good movie, amusing, with solid themes and good studies in human character.

Just shows how good the acting was. You should see Mrs. Walton now. She had a lovely face and should have left it alone. What is it with old American women thinking they actually look better with freakish clown faces than lived-in ones that can at least move?
I watched it as a child but never appreciated how charming and beautifully written it was although it should have ended when Will Geer died.

As I recall, the grandparents were both gay,
in the interests of accuracy:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellen_Corby

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Will_Geer

there is no mention of either being gay - (one was married for 10 yrs the other for 20?30? with kids (not that that means anything - it don't BTW)

note sure if either:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Learned

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Waite

were drunks, but its better to be sure of your charges before you disparage someone with false accusations.

ya, good show - checked out a few from library 7 yrs ago, still holds up well.

Geer was one of the greats for sure - loved him in everything i saw him in. he was good in "the moffu cage" (lol - that was a good obscure one with Carol Kane as a crazy, and Lee Grant as her sister.

Richard Thomas was always a top actor too - from his earliest roles as a kid in The Defenders (1961), and Seaway (1965) - to playing the nutter that shot at Brook Shields in the that 90's TV movie "i can make you love me"....he was good as the crazy brat stabbed in the back with scissers by Patty Duke in "your like my mother" too.

I get your point, but to ponder your keywords: charges, disparage, accusations ...

Interesting that you consider facts, or those particular facts, to be disparaging and accusatory.
I presented the information about the actors as typical counterpoint to the roles they played*, and not for the spin that you applied.

Check in the public domain, since neither can be questioned, to be sure.

Facts probably should be footnoted with sources, but if it was a stylistic requirement here in the forum, Trump couldn't be disparaged since Trump-denial is an emotional experience and judgment.

* As an exception, I did hear that Gregory Peck actually portrayed himself, personality-wise, when he acted the part of Atticus Finch in Harper Lee's, To Kill A Mockingbird. Pretty sure I heard it on NPR, in an interview with Scout in her eye-witness account, which in that case is strong evidence.

I've not reseached any of the above persons orientation (nor care personally) and if there are "rumours" - i assume it would be good to asertan if siad rumours are accurate or not.

yes?

until that time - i only provided wikis of those charged.

i afford "innocent" of charges personally, untll rumours show otheriwse after vetting for accuracy.

point taken and carry on Sir.
