One of the questions of our time...

Post by Peter Kropotkin »

one of the questions that haunt us, or at least should
haunt us is this question of the source of ''Evil"...

so what is evil and how did it get here?

one of the prime definitions of evil is the Holocaust...
as it should be... but in thinking about evil, we can/
and have thought of evil as being the work of man or
the negligence of god...or perhaps a bit of both....

the question of evil and god revolves the question of
how can a "absolute" measure of good, that is god,
be the source of evil, or how can god even allow such a thing
as evil....and the apologist for god, will inevitable blame
human beings for their "free will" and allowing evil....
god gets the credit for good but doesn't take the blame
for evil...god sounds like a republican here... only takes
credit for the good, but won't take the blame for something
that may make them look bad....
anyway, what if this is the wrong way to look at it.....

I have another theory about good and evil.... given that I have
already spoken about energy and entropy... of going from order to
disorder... of the human body being ordered, and as we age, we slowly
and gradually become disordered... the things that the Buddha railed
against, are things brought about by entropy and the inevitable course
of existence in which everything goes from order to disorder....
from solar systems to planets to any living organism to any system
of any size...which includes such things as automobiles, human beings,
governments, and nature itself.... everything travels from order to disorder....
now let us think about Nazi Germany.... it is considered to be evil incarnate...
and it is, but why? In order to achieve its professed goal of racial purity,
it on purposely disordered German society... it disrupted universities, Germany
banned Jews from engaging the political, social, legal and philosophical
life of Germany.... it sent millions of people including Jews, gays, communist
and other "undesirables" into concentration camps...

in other words, the Nazi's purposely took ordered Germany
and created disorder...the evil in this instance was to
go from order to disorder.... by its actions of removing
people from their jobs, their homes, their place of worship
and their schooling, the Germans turned order into disorder.....
evil in this case is the creation of disorder from order.....
Germany upended the German society/state/schools/ and homes
to create racial and social unity... but you can't create unity from
disorder and unrest....

it is within the act of creating disorder that caused the "evil" in
Germany.... and we can see this exact same action, of creating
disorder in the U.S that is harmful, and yes, even evil....
by causing mass changes in the U.S, conservatives are creating disorder
and by doing so, creating evil....and so, in that frame of mind,
with the understanding that the act of evil is the action of
creating disorder, we can call the actions of banning drag queens
and drag shows and limiting if not ending civil rights for certain groups,
that is causing disorder in the American society/state and that, ladies
and gentlemen is the creation of evil...of going from order to disorder...
is an act of evil..... and the conservatives don't know or don't care,
more likely don't care.. but they are the cause of and the reason for
issues of disorder and chaos within our American society/state today
and that disorder and chaos is an act of evil.......

I agree. It wasn't a statement, thus it should make that list.

So, the american revolution? poor people's movements?
it is within the act of creating disorder that caused the "evil" in
Germany....
Or it was an attempt to create too much order that is the signature of the Nazis.
I mean, while sure, there were nights of disorder, the primary crime of the Nazis was one of most organized mass murders ever. They even kept great records. The were efficient at killing, maximizing efficiency. Sure, there were moments of subevents of heat. But this was cold, calculated, abstract killing, bureaucratically exquisite.

Disorder can be good or bad. Can make things worse or better. Is a facet of most deep changes in society or even relationships.
Order can be good or bad. Increased order can be fascism or communism. Or it can be order that helps life.

Diversity is less ordered than monocultures.
Repressive social control is more ordered than what is possible in freer societies.

It's just wee bit more complicated than the OP might leads us to believe.

But, simple binary judgments are...well....more orderly.

Which is why tyrants love them so much.

"There, hear?, I mean feel? I mean taste?"

"It's spicy as hell!"

"But it's not the capsaicin that gets you, oui?"

"No, no it's not the capsaicin that gets you!"

"What is it then ... that gets you?"

"Funny, I know the taste, but I don't have a name."

"Lost something, have you?"

"No, I'm ... I haven't ... lost ... anything"

"A word ... a name ... a label ... a stuttering parrot ... a wild boar in a leopard's clutches?"

"I have a date!"

"Who's the lucky girl?"

"No, not that kinda date! I mean I remember a date ... calendar??!!"

"You think it's connected?!"

"Not sure, but it's ... it's wrong, it doesn't make any sense."

"Do you suppose I can ... make sense of ... the date?"

"I know you're the Einstein in the pack but the numbers in my head, the date, it's ... it's ... impossible!!"

"Pluralitas non est ponenda sine necessitate."

"KISS, KISS. Hahaha, that was funny!"

"Précisément!"

"Do you want the numbers?"

"I have enough problems mon ami! Tell me another time."

"Ok, I will."

"Ok."

Evil is important but not in the way we, anybody, would think. Evil is in a sense Nyx, everybody knows that, but there are paintings which have sold for not less than $5,000,000, but it is not the art for which it was snatched away from Belki.
