Apologise for the past for being archaic?

Apologise for he past as archaic?
To apologise for the distant past for being archaic is absurd. Britain banned institutional slavery, which is a source of pride. It had been a norm throughout history at some level. Are we to apologise and pay restitution, for the burning of heretics. Ask for forgiveness for past child labour in factories and mines. Curse the past for burning coal and oil to pollute the atmosphere. The list is endless. Are we to repeat the 16th century with the removal of images and statues and burning of books, or rewriting past authors as is happening. The past is a different world. The question for today is the form of society we espouse. We need to get this country in social order while aiding others as well as we can, if we espouse any degree of altruism. There are three essenyial forms of society, and Society as an institution is one.

The needle was 0.2 nanometers "thick". It went through him like a hot knife through butter. He was whistling, he kept on whistling.

"Sorry sir, aside from that I like the song."

"No apology needed ma'am. I'm glad you liked the song. An ancient song, wild west days, back when Timbuktu was in Africa. Good day"
