the choices...

Post by Peter Kropotkin »

Now philo believes that my ongoing attack on conservatives leads to...
his words, not mine

my apologies wrong post.. I'll try to get up the right post..

and yet, what he fails to understand is that the "us vs them" has already
been created by the right...the right has already created the "us vs them"
mentality...the only question now is how does the left respond?

I am supposed to overlook such conservative evil by looking away..
for example, not one but two GOP/conservative governors have
falsely promised immigrants jobs and a better life and illegally
transported them to Ny or Kamala Harris house in DC, or even
weirder, to Martha Vinyard... and why? just to make political
points with the insane right wing..
remember, both governors in question are serious GOP candidates
for President.. of Texas and Florida....
but for some reason, Philo wants me to ignore this act of evil
to allow some sort of spirit of peace between the GOP and Dems...
but hay, we saw how well appeasement worked for the Jews
in the thirties and how well it worked in Europe in the thirties...
the result was the Holocaust and World War 2...
excellent examples of "giving peace a chance"

Having delt with bullies all my life, I can say with certainty,
that the proper response to these GOV and with IQ45 and the
GOP/MAGA crowd... is to swiftly and firmly smack them in
the nose and promise more beat downs if they ever pull that
shit again.... that is the only way to defeat the violent right wing..
see Jan 6 2021 for examples of the violence of the far right..

but hay, let us take a more recent example....
someone on Twitter? I guess, posted a fact story about
how a hospital in Boston was preforming quote
"Life affirming hysterectomies" on children
the post even had fake doctors saying this..
and based on this, a women in Mass phoned in
a bomb threat to this hospital.. and other violent
right wing extremist jumped on this "news"
promising "action", which is just another word for violence,
against this hospital..

and what shall we do in the face of this lunacy?
hope and pray that the conservatives/MAGA crowd
comes to their senses? play nice in the hopes they don't
engage in any more actions that dehumanizes and violates
people right to respect and dignity..

I have practiced non-violence my whole life, except once
when some clown threatened a women life right in front of me,
yes, I could have done what philo suggests and hope
and pray that he didn't hurt her or try to be reasonable,
but given my choices, I fought him in the middle of a very busy
street.. he was much bigger than me, but I was able to even it
by being very, very vicious...the fight broke even...
and given my choices, I would do the exact same thing today...
even though that fight was 25 years ago or so...

At times we are only left with the choice of action against
evil...and we cannot be afraid of that choice because
of fear...

so yes, I say we fight them with every resource we have...

Sanctuary

“We are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to go to greener pastures. Biden would fly people in the middle of the night, dump them all across this country. There was no warning on any of this. And all those people in DC and New York were beating their chest when Trump was president saying they were so proud to be sanctuary jurisdictions, saying how bad it was to have a secure border.”
- Governor Ron DeSantis, Florida

Again, you throw every conservative into the same 'bag'.

As if they all support lies, violence, dehumanization ... as if they are all the same.

And you portray yourself as some sort of savior.

Not to mention that you completely misrepresented or misunderstood what I wrote. :?

K: I just look at the evidence... who among the GOP has stood up against IQ45 or
has denounced the insurrection on Jan 6 2021? The GOP/MAGA party has
fully supported IQ45 even after he primed his supporters for violence by
''suggesting'' there would be violence if he was indicted.... as for being
a ''savior'', not at all...I am old, I know exactly who I am.. my ''role''
as I see it is, is far closer to John the Babtist than Jesus...

As for ''misrepresenting'' or ''misunderstanding'' you, I posted your words
without any changes... anybody can review those words at their leisure and
decide for themselves if I ''misrepresented'' your words...

Well, John the Liberal, I didn't tell you to ignore acts of evil.

I didn't tell you to overlook conservative evil.

But you're so binary that you can't see anything but two opposing groups ... evil conservatives and good liberals. And two opposing actions ... attack all conservatives or do nothing.

You can't understand anything in between good and evil. And you can't understand moderation and a measured response.

Oh, come on. I am on the left. It's taken two to tango all of my life which goes back into the 60s. There are different values and people with different values tend to have us them attitudes, especially when some facet of society is made according to the wishes of another group than one's own. There was a civil going back before you were born where differing values contributed to its start, though other factors were involved.

I can't imagine a reasonable discussion starting when one side is simply going to say 'they started it' like a 10 year old. Take responsibility for seeing them as a them or at least notice that many others on your team needed no prompting from what you consider the only other team to see things in an us them way.

Jesus Christ, grow up.

- According to MSNBC, the migrants sent to Martha’s Vineyard said they were sent to “paradise.” They were quite thankful to the generous Republican governor for the lift. No doubt they were tired of walking.

- Too bad for them, the next day those who pay cash money to be at Martha’s Vineyard sent the intrepid travelers off to a military base, the next chapter in their journey to paradise, which they tasted for a short time. The authorities said there is no room for the 50 amongst the many thousands of vacant rooms in the vineyard. (It’s the off season)
