The Church of England would seem to have reaffirmed the primacy of conventional marriage.
Which is perfectly logical.
Equality is the absence of class rule, and not people deciding what they want and making it a right.
The Church might also use the modern term altruism, rather than the ethically indeterminate English term of love.
Equality that is pure personal ego reduces society to the minimum

Re: Synod
It seems to me marriage is always someone deciding what they want and making it right. Even if it is the families in an arranged marriage. And when people wanted to make sure other people didn't have sex that those people did not like, that was people deciding what they want or don't want and making it right. Or the problems with homosexuality related, potentially, to increasing the size of the tribe, were something people did not want, so they made it wrong, or made procreative marriage right.RWStanding wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 12:38 pm Equality is the absence of class rule, and not people deciding what they want and making it a right.
