No, what I was being asked by him is what my definition of it was.Immanuel Can wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 10:20 pmNo. You. What do YOU mean when you say it?iambiguous wrote: ↑Thu Aug 04, 2022 9:17 pm My interest is not in what others define Dasein/dasein to be, but in how they integrate that definition into sets of circumstances revolving around such things as abortion and guns.
That's all you're being asked.
Anybody else who used the word can do it. But you can't?
Again, what I mean by dasein is encompassed in depth in these threads:

Now, let him explain why that does not qualify as me describing what I mean by it.
Also, let's get back to this:
...give us your definition of "freedom" and "justice". Then take these definitions down out of the didactic/pedantic/spiritual clouds and integrate them into a specific context involving the moral and political conflagrations that revolve around things like abortion or guns.
Me, I'm willing to acknowledge that my own understanding of these words is rooted existentially, subjectively in my life experiences. And that others living very different lives, might construe them in very different ways. I don't have an objectivist font like his own True Christian God such that others will be judged regarding freedom and justice by him as he would argue God Himself will judge them at the Pearly Gates.
Now, watch Mr. Wiggle and Mr. Snippet do his thing in truncating and twisting my points into a pale imitation of what they really are.
