Free Will Vs. Determinism is a False Dichotomy

Post by Eodnhoj7 »

In regards to "free will vs. determinism" a contradiction ensues in the question or assertion given:

1. the conversation of free will exists, even if all is determined, thus some grade of free will exists through axioms and the application of categories; it is determined that there is free will

2. the conversation of determinism exists, even if all is free will, thus some grade of determinism exists through axioms and the application of categories; it is an expression of free will that there is determinism

3. Free will is defined by what it is not, ie determinism, thus its opposite exists because of contrast

4. Determinism is defined by what it is not, ie free will, thus its opposite exists because of contrast

5. In stating "free will "vs." determinism" both are accepted as self-evident because of the necessary contrast where one defines the other by what it is not; this self-evidence is manifestation of categories. Categories result in definition thus require determinism as one definition results in another, which results in another, so on and so forth; Categories have no definable rules in deciding what to categorize or what not categorize given categorization is the manifestation of a part of reality from the totality, this requires free will.

6. It is determined that there is free will and free will manifests determinism.
