The American establishment have very cleverly undermined the power of the workers by engineering a situation where socialism is a four letter word, thereby clowns like Simple are participating in their own oppression.
WHilst they blame immigrants, blacks, mexicans, and Democrats the elites are laughing all the way to the bank, ending eveything that has been gained since 1900 working rights, sick pay, pensions, - its all going, going gone.

I/m not cherry picking.
What socialism is, is written down. There are clear ideas and manifestos.

THIS is where all utopians miss the boat!! What socialism is IS NOT what is written down, instead it is what it is en praxis, just like every other system.

THe people in control are the IVy league in the US, mostly capitalist, financiers, lawyers, shareholders. Kunts like Trump.
In the UK it is the Buller Boys. People who are rich , from rich families that have been rich for generations; aristocrats and those who aspire to high office and noble honours. None of that is socialism.
The people in control are not fucking socialists you dickhead.
Do you not understand that there is pretty much one party now, that the "capitalists" and socialists are more or less on the same side, that governments and corporations have each others backs? How could you explain Silicon Valley acting as censor for the American left?

You need to get beyond your capitalism controls everything narrative and learn about other parts of the system that are more fundamental, i.e., have been there before capitalism arrived and will be there log after its demise.

This is me whenever I find a conservative at a philosophy forum talking about Marx and/or socialism....

Because...
The UK private sector business population is made up of 3.2 million sole proprietorships (56% of the total), 2 million actively trading companies (37%) and 384,000 ordinary partnerships (7%) in 2021. 2.7 million private sector businesses as registered for VAT or PAYE, 48% of the estimated total population.
As you can see, there are more crapitalists in the UK then there are fleas on a dog.

Dead things never thrive. WHy not do yourself a favour and use a dictionary.
DEAD
adjective
1.
no longer alive.
eg "a dead body"

You are very versed at making an arse of yourself.

>ah, so the dead empire is now a thrivin' socialist nation, yeah?

meaning: what was once a thrivin' empire, died...from the carcass rose a mighty, thrivin', socialism that still exists today

see, the now in the sentence denotes the transformation from dead empire to livin' socialism, that did, and still does (right?), all manner of good things for people
