The Law of Excluded Middle Self Applied to Logic

Post by Eodnhoj7 »

1. There is either a principle of identity or a principle of non-contradiction according to the law of excluded middle.

2. If the principle of identity exists then there is not a principle of non-contradiction; therefore P=P but P=-P.

3. If the principle of non contradiction exists then there is not a principle of identity; therefore P=/=-P but P=Q, P=R, P=S.... .

4. If P=-P then one assertion is equal to its opposite, ie the horse is equal to the field (ie "not horse") as both the field and the horse exist through eachother.

5. If P=Q, P=R, P=S... the one assertion of P equivocates to a variety of phenomenon thus P becomes vague.

6. With the laws of logic applied to the laws of logic a contradiction occurs through self-referentiality.
