The law of a country, its commerce and trade, are all ethically based by intent or default.
If a country trades with another [China?] then it does so on an ethical basis. If it does so because it must do so for its own survival, then it is not a ‘free agent’. It is by default under the authority or influence of that other country. In the event that commerce and trade become globalised, then there is a global ethic by default. Either the whole world has a tolerably Altruistic ethic, or it is under the predominate Authority of a particular country or region and its ethic, or the world is Anarchistic and all countries both manufactures and trade in all and anything arbitrarily. In a chaotic world, regionalisation of commerce and trade, is the only guarantee that responsible altruism rules anywhere.

Re: Ethic of Trade
na, ethics maybe involved for sure but na. the trade between nations is an agreement and the agreement sets the rules. the only enforcement is if one perceives that the other has breached the terms of the agreement then the offended one can ethically dissolve the agreement, or pull out of the agreement. unless there is a desire by both parties to make it right. the agreement is the "morals" between agreed nations (not all nations) in the case of trade. now whether or not one has the advantage over the other is another matter to consider. but most countries go in understanding who has the greater power.RWStanding wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 9:22 am The law of a country, its commerce and trade, are all ethically based by intent or default.
