This is your time, war is a specter on the horizon, don't make it real. And if you think you can win a war, then you deserve your fate.

I would stand up and declare my allegiance to humanity if I weren’t so comfortable staying where I am. I mean I think humanity is great and all that, but somebody else should do the hard work.

Let humanity speak for itself. I don’t mind thinking about my allegiance, but to put that into words is just too much.

You see, it’s all a matter of resources and energy. If I were to stand up and cheer out loud for everything I believe in, there would be no time left for rest and recreation.

Let my support be a page from my checkbook, that is if I have envelope and stamp conveniently on hand.

Besides all that, it would be far more dangerous to speak up for humanity than not. I mean that anyone with any grudge against humanity would offend me,

And that may require action, or at least some thought about action.

I’m human. I would fight Armageddon if that is where the path of least resistance takes me. I would decline if I could rely on denial so as to face no consequences.

Why fight armageddon at all? It's a lose/lose scenario for everyone. You know you're going to lose going into it. But you don't know what not fighting it will yield until you find out. And there is no "too late" because Armageddon is the end of ends for everyone. So, NO, you don't fight it if it looks like armageddon. A Pascalian wager.

And does what I say make sense to anyone out there? Am I the only one who sees it plain and clear? Surely there must be someone out there who will agree that living life is better than dying for someone else's dark political motive.
