Re: Finally!!
a show of willingness to go at it, is important to the rest of the world. and a show that we can bring it do your door is important to the rest of the world. and if we don't then they believe they can go at us.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 12:23 am Finally, someone in the media gets it?

mankind is like a dog pack, any showing of weakness and the vacuum for dominance is fill with another. its human nature, if your expectations are otherwise then you will be disappointed again.
Re: Finally!!
Chinese aggression in the S. China Sea to assert dominance seems like a logical move against a weak president who may not actually be much of a friend to Australia, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and so on. After all, he says that the Chinese regime "gets it."
Afghanistan. We've heard the ostensible reasons for being there. What are the real reasons.

Re: Finally!!
I seriously doubt the majority of the world wants a war between nuclear-armed powers or even gives a shit who would win a conventional conflict between China and the US. What an utterly stupid jingoist thing to say. Think for yourself for god's sake instead of spouting the party line. If you think the rest of the world thinks of the US as the great peacekeeper, think again.DPMartin wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 5:06 pma show of willingness to go at it, is important to the rest of the world. and a show that we can bring it do your door is important to the rest of the world. and if we don't then they believe they can go at us.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 12:23 am Finally, someone in the media gets it?

Re: Finally!!
The real reasons are obvious to most, foreign bases, especially ones close to Russia and China. That's what the Pentagon wants and what the Pentagon wants the Pentagon gets. The only ones who can't seem to figure that out are fellow Americans. Pull your head out of where it's stuck and have a look around.Walker wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 6:39 pm Chinese aggression in the S. Re: Finally!!
Figure what out, that we all need to solve our differences in nonviolent ways? If you're on track with that, then good. If you're, not then you're welcome to call me anything you want.Walker wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 1:32 amThere's other reasons for sure, smart ass.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:56 pm Pull your head out of where it's stuck and have a look around.

Re: Finally!!
Well, then those in power better be offering peace. That's all that matters. The rest is nonsense.DPMartin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 5:01 pmthose in power are the only ones who can genuinely offer peace, that is a fact because they are the only ones who can be sure its kept.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Tue Mar 09, 2021 8:43 pmI seriously doubt the majority of the world wants a war between nuclear-armed powers or even gives a shit who would win a conventional conflict between China and the US. Re: Finally!!
Have you never seen the true terrors of the mind? Do you not think that those terrors would be wrath enough for someone who causes enormous harm in the world? It's not our place to judge others with swords. Or am I just "crazy" and others have never seen those terrors? And before you answer, I will remind you that suicide is one of the more prevalent causes of death in our country right now. I don't know if that's true of China yet or not. But if they pull some of the shit we've been doing, I would imagine it will go up substantially.DPMartin wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 4:20 pmor what?Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 7:16 amWell, then those in power better be offering peace. How?: that there is the stumblin' point.

Re: Finally!!
I agree, 100% Henry. How do you propose we stop a war? We both obviously want it stopped. I propose not firing a shot, going with sanctions and international pressure if China makes a move on Taiwan.henry quirk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 6:06 pm Can we just stop with all the foreign wars?

Hell if I know. Seems to me no matter what the US doses or doesn't do, conflict is inevitable.Gary Childress wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 6:11 pmI agree, 100% Henry. How do you propose we stop a war? We may be too far down the road to avoid it. Only the complete, voluntary, capitulation of one side or the other might stop it (and I don't see that happenin').

Re: Finally!!
So your proposal is to fight a terrible war? Don't you want for that not to happen? Look at yourself, Henry. Your acting out of fear. Are you afraid of your own shadow? Say, it; "I don't want war." Say it loud and clear. Make your voice heard. that's all I ask. And no, walking it back after you make the statement with some gibberish about whatever it is your magical crystal ball says about the future.henry quirk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 17, 2021 6:19 pmHell if I know.
