Hi Zalta, To what are you referring? The videos in this thread have been posted here by different forum members and mostly they are free to access. If they are not free, there is nothing we can do about that anyway - they are just links! You can always improve this thread by finding a link to the kinds of accessible philosophy videos you like and then posting them here.

Or is that the purpose of the various links in your own posting? Because they are mainly in Arabic I was unable to read them.

This has reminded me though that I should add a link to the videos section on the Philosophy Now website:

http://philosophynow.org/videos

These are three philosophy videos which we made last year. We call the series "Philosophy Now, Please!" We have a fourth video at the editing stage.

George Carlin is brilliant, him and Bill Hicks are my favourite post 80s American comedians.

Mitchell and Webb and Armstrong and Miller are my favourites of the 21st century but I am probably biased as I am English. But Chav pilots and Inspector Force are hilarious as are the amazing adventures of Sir Chicken Digby Caesar Salad... :)

"Think about how many averagely stupid people there and then realise half of the people or more stupid than that."

Hilarious. :)

George Carlin said something to the effect that half of the population was of below average intelligence. Carlin was very optimistic in that observation. One wonders how the human race has survived. I would suggest that they suspend the search for intelligent life in the Universe, it's nowhere to be found. And if they did find some, it would just make humanity look bad.

Sorry for delay.

"One wonders how the human race has survived."
sheer dumb luck, we got snake eyes on 3 rolls. ww1 ww2 ww3. the least is orwellian ww1. the worst we make earth into radioactive hellhole with 5000 .5 to 2mt thermonukes.

" scenerio.. The B2 b's after 400 miles at tfr 1 a gut wrenching mach .7 ride 200 feet up. go 'BING' the pilots pull up and head for orbit they open bay doors and 2x 1mt nukes drop
into position.. they then flip b2's on back and once inverted they release warheads which now fly in parabola toward target the b2's then rotate another 90 dgs an head back the way they came. 60 seconds later hell comes to vladivostok the soviet pacific fleet is incinerated as is entire city 1 million dead. from one plane that was never seen and spanky clean.
The USAF SAC 'peace is our profession"

There was a series in the old Playboy magazine (might still be running, I haven't looked at Playboy for at least 20 years), Through Space and Time with Schwimmer and Jones, and in one episode they contacted space command to ask why they were out patrolling the edge of the known universe. The answer was that "We sent you there, because we don't want you here."
