intellectual pessimism
Science, logic, psychology, and language are areas in which the average person is clinically deficient. It's rather amazing that any business gets conducted effectively at all, which only guess to show how vapid and inane most human business is anyway.

Have you seen my basement? But seriously, a lack of basic understanding in any of those areas is a complete lack of sufficiency of the educational system too. I understand those things Despite what i was taught ! :(

it could be that most folks -- bein' human -- have an intuitive understandin' of those things
no one, after all, needs an expert to understand, for example, gravity is not your friend when climbin' a tree, 1 + 1 = 3, man is self-interested, and how to assert, question, or exclaim
the problem is not man's deficiency or the inanity of his business; the problem, perhaps, is self-important know-it-alls who just can't bear bein' dismissed (dismissed cuz they offer nuthin' of substance to anyone)
