I know this is a basic question! But why our we here, most people go through there lives not questioning the reason why? People like us have ideas, views an urge to understand what this is all about? Do you think we are ever going to find the answer?

There is no reason why not.. just feel like sometimes when I read the different topics, everyone has got a valid point. Just wondering why do some of us search for answers and others don't? I am new to this, and some of the stuff I read, I am just getting to understand. Yet we all share same goal! ANSWERS!

asking the question "why" is biased and assumes a reason for life (prob a biological based biased mindset to assume a reason to be alive by the asker).

man is an animal and reason is a product of evolution - reason strives to find a "purpose" for life.

I posit its equally likely there is no purpose.

Gaffo, I find that hard to believe. There is always a reason, cause and effect..maybe you are right we just are! if that is so then why do we as a species seek answers? If we just exist because we are..then why do we have a concept of time? An urge to comprehend the world around us?

Gaffo, I agree with you we are a product of evolution, so why did evolution give us the reasoning to seek our being? If we exist, and evolution evolved us to this state of consciousness, surely there must be a reason why? If there was no reason, then there would be no reason for evolution to send us down this path?
