The human being has been vouchsafed thinking. Thinking is the essence of the human being. Thinking is said in opposition to that that is available to thought, what is pointed to, and what one reflects on. The rational animal is dead. Thinking never attempts to ascend from opinion to episteme or knowledge. Yet, thinking also does not move in the horizon of opinion, it eschews what is always tacitly crouching in each opinion, the answer to the question: why?.
I hope none shall point out that this statement is not original. Instead, they should attempt to understand it and so in that manner begin to think passionately.
