Social Conflict
Ethics in the real world is not about expecting conformity to fashionable ideas of behaviour held by a section of the population, or even most of the population. It is about dealing with a world of chaotic diversity. This has nothing to do with everyone living together in saintly amity. In pragmatic terms at least, and probably in ideal terms, it means ensuring polities are as socially homogeneous as possible, and that population is stabilised, with sensible communities and housing for everyone, within a natural environment.
It means an altruistic polity and not an aggregate of individuals with the right to all things everywhere and anywhere. Naturally the alternative to these, is an authoritarian police state, or theocracy.
