The Palm At The End Of The Mind: The End Of The World

Post by Enigma3 »

Renaissance humanism replaced the Gothic cathedral with a fully serviceable architecture. The living proportions were of the order of man himself as opposed to the non-human monuments of the Gothic structures, which are akin to the Egyptian pyramids with their homage to a greater power than man.

I would argue that the human being -as we know him- was invented by the men of the Renaissance. What the fast-food restaurant does for the lower classes today the Renaissance did for the aristocracy, which means the self-image of Western man was forged by those artists.

Meanwhile in art itself there was a realism. Paintings became more and more representative of actual life amid the birth of the bourgeoisie.

Which brings me to abstract art and Postmodern philosophy. The realistic conceptions have all been replaced in our current world. Why? The industrial revolution was itself, I would argue, pointed beyond all natural conceptions as were then known. The world of 'Star Trek' could not have been created before the industrial revolution. Science, as it developed, slowly warped the mind of Western man..permanently. We are formless.

I am thinking in terms of clothing styles throughout the ages; beyond the wardrobe of history the basic patterns have all worn out.

Nudity, in the form of internet porn, has made, in our own times, a comeback since the Greek and Roman slave owning days.

The Romans shit outside in toilets that faced each other! A similar thing is now happening among the homeless population in San Francisco ( do a google search on it).

My argument is that human reality is exhausted, and the postmodernists are correct.

The new reality involves the fabric of space and time. "The Universe is a sphere whose circumference is nowhere and whose center is everywhere." said Nicholas of Cusa. There is no need to journey to deep "space"; the quantum foam, the fabric of reality, is all around us.

The Palm at the End of the Mind is the surreal unity beyond extension and appearances. The Universe is a plenum! It's cloudy with a chance of meatballs!

At what distance must an object be in order for its apparent size to equal its real size? (There are only appearances.)

Locke's primary qualities are dependent upon the Kantian notion of intuition, i.e. they are mind-dependent. The Universe is an organism; as our history progresses space will continue to collapse. That's because the Universe is made up of unchanging Forms (e.g. the soul is the form of the body).

Reality is ending as Apple Computers is designing a Virtual Reality headset for the year 2020, that will replace the old Iphones.

Welcome to the Cosmic Plenum fellow Godlings!

This is a compact word. Why would somewhat "unchanging", suddenly "progress" and "continue to collapse"? Is the what that is "unchanging" like the nature of a tree, which cycles about, so that now we are on the decline? The somewhat that is the principle of motion of the whole is in its last stage?

What does "mind" mean here? The transcendental conditions of the opening of any universe?
