What I am saying with this thread is that Nietzsche's central theme of the Eternal Return is a theme which didnt explain things any more than the Christianity he was escaping explained things. We still get the absurd and horrifying prospect in both: living forever. But I think he was onto something and fell short - or perhaps it just didn't appeal to him to explain things as fully as he could within the contexts of his writings.
