I went to visit some humanists and found a few philosophy grads, I think the Humanist stand is against the principles of 'the open society' BUT it maybe a good place for philosophical people to find friends, and argue, about god, LOL

Except that they discriminate against inanimate objects.

And Friends of the Earth couldn't care less about the solar system

Seriously speaking, a god or God could fit that description.

I used to belong to a Humanist group which ran a sub group for philosophy. Both groups were philosophical and generally well informed Then I left Edinburgh and came to live here where the tradition is commercial not intellectual .

Humanism = human narcissism (like there's any other).

Perhaps dolphins, but aren't Daleks narcissistic by nature. And what about other animals? can we be sure that they are not aware of their own beauty?

Let's ask them. Do they understand the concept of narcissism? Or beauty? I prefer not to assign human traits to lesser consciousness, unless they begin communicating their understanding. If I'm wrong, they can always bring it up at the next meeting.
