Hello all, I'm nameless...

Post by nameless »

Hi, I'm nameless.
(Yeah, i know, it was a typo, nevertheless...)

I'm not going to to give any personal information (other than that I am Here! Now!) as it's irrelevent!
This is a philosophy site, not about egoic personality, but about the words/concepts that I offer/perceive, and their 'meanings'.
Often, when it gets personal, we find ourselves in the grip of an attempted ad-hominem fallacy.
I'm willing to accept that whatever you think about me is one real (true?) feature of the complete definition of 'this self'. My own perceptions are but one single unique Perspective of the greater Reality, as are you unique Perspectives.
"The complete Universe can be defined/described as the sum-total of all Conscious Perspectives." - Book of Fudd (9:02:10)
So, getting into details seems fruitless in this context, an ever spiralling stairway into nowhere.

Lifting flageon of beer; "Here's to mutually fruitful conversation! 'Enjoy' the pain of Truth (egos will heal, all blessings are painful), let it flow!"

Since personality counts for a lot more than ideas how you operate is beyond me.

Not to a philosopher it doesn't.
This is a philosophy site, am I right?, not dating singles?
A place of words and the ideas that they represent?
It doesn't matter if I were god or einstein or hitler, what is under the glass are the words I offer and what they might mean to you.

Maybe to an amateur your view makes sense.
This is a philosophy site, am I right?, not dating singles?
Why not have both?
A place of words and the ideas that they represent?
What good is a word compared to love or friendship?
It doesn't matter if I were god or einstein or hitler, what is under the glass are the words I offer and what they might mean to you.
Well err yeah it does. If I told you the truth while punching you in the head would you really care for the truth? Similarly if your ideas are abhorrent why would i want to know you?

You give personal information even if you do not want to, indirectly and inspite of yourself.

English is your first language and your spelling is good, it seems to me, but I am not best qualified to judge it here, since English is my third language.
You could be a middle-class Brit.
Do you use the word "gosh" ?
Do you prefer the word "serviette" or "napkin" ?

You do not have to answer. We can just wait and see.

Are we invited to give you names, Captain Nemo ?
You could judge from them what impression you make.

Talking on an anonymous forum is like participating in a masked ball. Everyone is wearing a mask, but you can guess the personality of the masked danser a little bit, especially from what he says.

I really don't care what you might glean from my writings about me, it is irrelevent. If you 'know' yourself, you know everyone. Big deal. In philosophy, personality is irrelevent. Fill your head with the irrelevent and you might find no room for the relevent.

Enjoy your game. I'm not going to play.
One finds ones joys where one does. I'd think that the food for thought that I offer can be quite rich and tasty, but, it's a matter of Perspective, context...

Besides, if you honestly and sincerely attempt to find who I am, you will find 'self'.

No.

Unnecessary. Irrelevent. I accept that whatever your perception of me might be, at any particular moment, is correct and true (in context, of course). Moving on...

I'm not. I speak sincerely and honestly. I do not dissemble. If you can see no deeper then such superficialities, the limitation is yours.
but you can guess the personality of the masked danser a little bit, especially from what he says.
As I suggested, enjoy your game, perhaps it might be fruitful for you.

Although I detect sarcasm, I'll respond that I see nothing 'wrong' with anyone. He's just 'right' for my ignore list, for instance, as evidenced by his responses.

You have detected wrongly this time, Mr. Sherlock Holmes.
There was no sarcasm in my statement about Wootah.

I am not going to spend hours thinking about who you are. An impression will impose itself on my mind, when I read your posts, whether I want it or not. (If I read your posts.)

Good night !
