Yes, the first post by any now forum member won;'t appear until it has been checked by a moderator. Only the first - once you've leapt that fence, all your subsequent posts appear without delay.

If you saw the queue of first post awaiting moderation, you'd appreciate why. Fake passports anyone? And that's one of the mild ones.
