Iya doesn't know how to speak English yet, so I'll translate. (actually she does speak it fine...and I will never comprehend why she used so much Arabic on a non-Muslim site. But that's Iya).
Iya wrote:Salaam Alaikum,
Peace be upon you
Iya wrote:I'm a Muslimah.
Female version of Muslim
Iya wrote:I'm friends with Musa.
Just because you're a friend doesn't mean I actually like you
Iya wrote:I like the word "Tukloo."
The word Tukloo literally means "Bald" in Urdu. Iya is trying to get the word famous for meaning Idiot. We'll never understand why, and we are considering sending her off to a mental assylum.
Iya wrote:And... I need a life.
That would be nice.
Iya wrote:Jazaks.
Litearlly means "reward" but used as "thanks". If you say "JazakAllah", it means "May Allah reward you".

Hi. Thank you.
I think it's a beautiful island.
I'd like to have my honeymoon there.
What are your views on it?

I have never been there, or any other coral atoll for that matter.. Would love to go..

A shame though, because such places will probably be disappeared in the not-too-distant future.

Alafia, Iya!
In Yoruba, "Iya" means 'Mother' and connotes 'matriarch.'

LoL Iya, do you have any family from West Africa? Why don't you just ask your parents why they named you it? I doubt it came from Yoruba. It's just a coincidence. Also "In Lakota mythology, Iya is a storm-monster, brother of Iktomi the spider. The eye of the storm..."

Haha you're a storm monster.

"People with this name tend to be decisive and good with money. They try to have a balance between the physical and the spiritual worlds. They can often be a successful entrepeneur, and are often striving to reach ever higher goals and positions."

Haha, I definitely don't think that seems like you :P

(http://www.birthvillage.com/meaning/Iya" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

Does your name mean something in Bangali?

And do you know Yoruba Rachel? I'd love to learn an African language. I tried Swahili but gave up.

It means "Love/Lover" and I think it's a bird.

Dude stop hating.
I'm gonna be rich and famous.
The thing says so.

And I thought I was Turkish. Man, I'm not!!!
And no, I'm not African, even though it would have been cool.
