Hey so I guess I should introduce myself...

Post by iamliterallystupid »

Hi all!

iamliterallystupid here, I am a student in Philosophy, 1st year actually (hence the username, don't expect much thoughtful insight from me lol). I've come to really enjoy Philosophy though! Especially Metaphysics, Epistemology and Political Philosophy. When I found this forum I was pretty stoked actually! Gives me a chance to meet and talk to likeminded people, the kind I'm too shy to walk up to in real life.

I hope I'll get to learn a lot from everyone here, but I have seen a few trolls too, which will be fun.

So urm, yeah, let the philosophical debates begin!

*waves enthusiastically at you all*

Is it possible you can make an effort not to be stupid?

No one's stupid! Knowledge comes in different forms, actions, ideas! Stupidity in my opinion is something that is socially constructed! Hope you feel smarter now ;)

I say, "you're not stupid!" You're just ignorant, and aren't we all, as to one thing or another.

Welcome aboard!

To be honest I had no interest in "argumenting" with you anyway...

look at replies and this one

not so stupid springs to mind. stupid people don't frequent philosophy forums with name 'iamliterallystupid'

stupid people [60% of humans] are too timid and ignorant to try.

the cognative elite [those that think and more important, question. add imagination and the pooh ball downhill rolls]

If he does manage not to be stupid, then we'll only have you to put up with.

Welcome ials!

No worries - you'll find that no one here has any answers. Answers that work, anyway.

It's going to take someone like you that hasn't been encumbered with a bunch of second year academic philosophy hooey to make sense of any of this.

As for myself, I only have a quiver full of questions.

See you round,

Steve
