You overlooked the vastly greater amount of time that there are no complications from surgery, no nosocomial infections and no iatrogenic untoward outcomes.

This is true: take a gander at what goes on in hospitals as an example.

I was a patient in a large hospital two weeks ago and I was favourably impressed with infection control measures they had in place. Public health authorities have a larger remit than hospitals, and have to do with drainage, water supplies, air quality besides checking up on epidemics and notifiable diseases and so forth

I've met people who are not vaccinated, and who happily say, "Put me at the back of the line if I have any health issues. It's a risk that's less serious to me than the risk of taking the vaccine."

Hey, why not? If that's how they want it, why shouldn't they be allowed to do as they please? They're adults: they know the risks, and they've made a personal decision about how to weight those. I have no problem with that.
