An outbreak of 'several' coronavirus cases at a hotel in Switzerland revealed those who only worse plastic visors were infected. But people who wore a mask did not catch the coronavirus.
Actually face shields and masks do offer protection. Best worn together since the mask does not protect against infection through the eyes. Having the shield also discourages face touching.
It's all about using them prepoerly.
