President Trump says Sweden is 'paying heavily' for not bringing in a lockdown - but WHO say the country is a model for the 'new normal'
Response:
For obvious reasons the lockdown cannot go on indefinitely, and so for countries like Britain and America a new normal will be an inevitable scenario that must play out if we are to erradicate this virus for good. Scarifices will have to be made like the ones of a viking spirit that is the nordic people. And while material resources can be replaced, and more food can be grown...and even human lives can be replaced via reproduction. So the only question we need to focus on is are we willing to face our inner demons and accept a new normal, and give up our OLD way of life, or are we just going to keep arguing with each other over what is the right or wrong political strategy to use on how to deal with this pandemic situation, and just what is it that we think we are going to lose in all of this? and what is more important, what is of real value here? quality or quantity?
The new normal is going to be an awful lot like the old normal, judging from the fast growing trend, now that restrictions are diminishing, to go maskless, ignore distancing and flock to the crowded beaches.
People are naturally reluctant to change and will, for the most part, follow the path of least resistance. This is especially true the more unintelligent and undereducated the people are.
