I like this saying by Calvin Coolidge because it's almost all true. However, it's not in the least certain, if not downright unlikely, that persistence and pressing on will solve the problems of the human race. To believe that is a dangerous fallacy especially if problems become extreme. There are limits and borders to everything and crossing them is a one way ticket to no return. Crossing borders has always been easy for the human race; in spite of warnings, its real consequences usually show up when the breach has already occurred.
