You can't stop thinking can you? Not even for a minute. Not even for 10 seconds. An objective perspective would come to see that you have no control over your mind. Which should concern you very deeply, but it doesn't does it?

It's a bit too late in your life to be finding your Zen, don't you think? Most people go through that phase in their 20s.

And most people can learn to meditate their minds to complete stilness for hours at a time with about a month of guided practice.

The novelty is only novel to you.
