You keep saying that we "observe" things, but observation is just a metaphor, it has no special role.
If you reify "measurement" into something that somehow drives the world, then no, in that sense, measurements are not real.
A metaphor for what exactly?
So if I measure a piece of stone, and further measure these multiple stones to build a house, the measurement did not change one state of the phenomena (stone) into another (house)?
A metaphor for pretending something into the real world that's not actually there.
For example you pretend that the phenomena have states like stone and house, even though there are no distinct phenomena and the universe has been merely rearranged, so to speak.
So if observing is a metaphor, according to you, then observing is just pretending?

So if a line is length between two points, and a line is composed of infinite points, a line is composed of infinite lengths?
A line is composed of infinitely many points, each of which has zero length. Yet a line has nonzero length. This is a mystery, but we have mathematical formalisms to deal with it.

I never asked if the points have zero length, I asked if more than one point always constitutes a length and infinite points are more than one point, then are there lengths between each of these points?
For example the number line is infinite, but it is composed of infinite unit intervals (numbers).

Dunno, you seem to think that observation somehow drives the world, makes things happen.
So you don't know, and are pretending you know...and I am the schizophenic?
Yes you are schizophrenic, and you've been talking about this observe stuff for years
And yet you claim I you don't know, thus are pretending you do....okay. So according to your own standards, yours not mine, you are a schizophrenic. Do you take meds for this? Or do you just white knuckle it with therapy sessions? Or both? Or are you just undiagnosed?

Dunno = dunno exactly, just roughly. Stop overreacting when your mental condition gets mentioned (and don't misuse the word schizophrenic).

No. Two points may have a distance between them. They don't "constitute" a length, that doesn't mean anything. But two points (in a metric space such as the real numbers) always have a distance (or length, if you like) defined between them.

In a metric space, infinite or finite, there is a distance defined between any two points.

The unit interval typically refers to the interval between 0 and 1. But you could view the real number line as being composed of infinitely many length-one intervals end to end. Is that what you mean?
