Art as such, art conceived as the abstract umbrella concept, can defeat fascism, because, when you think about art as such, you are automatically forced to remember your limits, your distance from reality and from truth: art as such means subjectivity.
Instead, the particular, single works of art can be blind: even fascism itself can make impressive works of art. But fascism is unable to reflect, to think about art as such, because this would be self-destructive for fascism.
