I like these little mappings of the isms. Each one with its own little touch.
Now here was an interesting little line about neo-liberalism(as different from conservatism):
”… see these hiearchies of status and wealth as justified in terms of a meritocratic process in which the best rise to the top”

This struck me as debatable, regardless of the problem of defining ”the best”.
One of the cornerstones of the more laisez-fairy liberalisms do see the free gift as a fundamental. And the most obvious gift in society is the gift of the parents to the children… cannot really see a best rising to any top in a world where the possibilities are gifts to offspring. I will not say what is right and wrong, but it seems like class travel by merit is not really that much easier in Neoliberalism than in Conservatism.
