Teleology is only a taboo when leveraged on theistic elements which are not grounded empircally and philosophically.

What I wrote is supported by empirical evidences and can be polished with critical philosophy.

Not so, VA. Evolution by natural selection is at risk of men attributing final cause to it. "To facilitate " may imply intention . I am sure you did not mean to do so however many people would.
Note meaning to teleology;
Teleology: the explanation of phenomena in terms of the purpose they serve rather than of the cause by which they arise.

There is no implication of final cause in the above definition.

Teleology is normally associated with the divine and final causes i.e. a final permanent purpose in heaven or hell, but that is not what I meant.

From past records we are aware millions [or billions] of species has been extinct.
Yes I mean "to facilitate" but that is to as long as the species can sustain itself until it can no longer exist as a specific species.

Recently there has been a revival of the concept of teleology [not in the sense of the divine or final cause].
