The world of “taking risks”. The Spitfire Pilots, the aerial dancers and the philosophers. The interesting word in the article, to me, is the word “we”. When the article writer uses that word, what group of people is included? Growing up in blue/white collar neighborhoods the will to take risks was very low, compared to the more posh, academical environment where I live now. Here people seem very much into all kind of risks, ranging from bungy jumping in NZ to having life goals. Would be interesting to know if Chicken and Posner had a family background of daytime workers.
If those class differences spill over to the “epistemic silos”, that would be rather interesting.

We may have to again consider whether planetary influences have any bearings on things. One source has Pisces-Virgo as having begun in 499 with Aquarius-Leo to begin in 2499. If true, it is still 478 years before humanity has to worry about the overturned water pitcher that represents Aquarius or whether it is a harbinger of a plethora of information and data yet to come, or if now is the beginning of the transition. Humanity may need the courage of Aquarius' opposite Leo to deal with it. In any case people are digging in their heels and taking dogmatic stands in their silos of choice ready to do battle with all-comers. The equivalent of grasping at any floating object that comes to hand when swept away in a flood. The solution may be to have a reasonably sane world view and not batter people over the heads with it, or to do battle with those who do not share it.
