It is the kind of reasoning that can only take up matters that lend themselves to this kind true and false structure of thinking. Is it raining? Well, let me see. No. The (nontechnical) "Boolean" value is useful when simple assertions useful. Further, such reasoning applies to analytic "truths" as with tautologies and contradictions. Logic is assumed to be like this, though there are oddities I won't go into.

But beyond pragmatics and analyticity, the assumption that truth is reducible to true of false propositions leads to a distortion of the world, which is not a "proposition" and our thoughts about it, constrained by this kind of rigidity, become trivial things.
