That's an interesting article that roots charity in self-interest.
deMause is fascinating and considered a big name in child abuse research in sociology, outside of that niche he is viewed as a crank and loon. His stunning discovery is that incest taboo is far from being universal as some believe.

I was impressed by the views of Lloyd deMause and his conception of the "poison container". It seems to me that something like poison containering is an explanation for swearing.

I'm not much into psychology...I think of it as Pseudoscience. I just believe in telling children the truth as best they can understand. Besides...they got a good chuckle out of it and they haven't cussed yet....even though their auntie AS likes to indulge on occasion. :lol:
